Do you have a timeline?

Make sure that all the ground work is covered with enough time for the actual production and editing.  Yours is probably not the only project your video provider is working on, it may cost extra to have them shift their priorities.

Don’t wait until the last minute.  Allow 6-8 weeks to plan and execute a standard video, and up t o 3-6 months for a larger, more complicated project.
